About Jason Taylor
Jason approaches art and design with curiosity, play, and a spirit of invention. For over 25 years, he has transformed everyday objects into new creations — lighting, furniture, and sculpture — that retain a sense of their original identity. His work celebrates the beauty of the ordinary, encouraging people to look again at the world around them.
Blending engineering precision with artistic imagination, Jason’s designs are technically accomplished yet full of humour and warmth. Whether in galleries, shops, or classrooms, his work invites participation and sparks ideas. Through exhibitions, commissions, workshops, and community projects, Jason shares his passion for making, inspiring others to discover the creative possibilities hidden in familiar things.
"Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away."
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, the author of "The Little Prince.
The work
These projects trace my creative journey over the past 25 years. Some began as artist residencies, others grew from personal explorations or commissions — each one a way of developing an idea and seeing where it could lead.
